guess.

question

After reading this excellent post on Nicola’s blog, I thought I’d try something…

Below are four six-word stories. Each represents a movie. (The plot? Maybe… I tried.)

Can you guess the films? Too obvious? Too vague? Do I suck at this?

[Scroll down slowly… the answers are at the end of this post…]

 (1) Collecting screams, laughter yields more power.

 (2) Stolen, deceived, found and finally home.

 (3) Rapture… but did you earn heaven?

 (4) God banished, power gone. Earned redemption.

Do

you

have

your

dark: a limerick.

girl at grave.

On dark days I stand in tears by your stone
Struggling to breathe, unwilling to go home
My life is now one of agony
Even if you never loved me
Now I’m destined to walk this world alone

haze.

sky

Nighttime clouds cast a blurry haze
Hiding the moon and the stars
Erasing those love swept days
Crushing the memory of your heart
Love has gone but the pain stays
Lost are those perfect nights of ours
Maybe I cannot truly recover
Until I am hurt by another

messy heart.

blush.

hands

The look in your eyes makes me blush… and
Every time you touch me I melt inside
I love your smile when you take my hand
The look in your eyes makes me blush… and
I adore your fingers sweeping the strand
Of my hair aside, out of my eyes
The look in your eyes makes me blush… and
Every time you touch me I melt inside

skeletons.

sad-couch-girl

My eyes sink to the floor
I can’t look at you anymore

You say I’m under your skin
But so much of me I’ve kept in

The skeletons I’ve tried to hide
Are desperate to be outside

But I’m breakable and frightened
So I fight to keep them silent

And I only let you see
What you want me to be

fairytale: a limerick.

sad princess.

All my life I’ve dreamt of a fairytale
Where love and romance above all prevail
The world says there’s no such thing
No prince or princess no queen or king
So in my fiction I write every perfect detail…

awake.

cant-sleep

In the middle of the night
Awake unable to close my eyes
I dread the brightness of sunlight
Because darkness hides daytime’s lies
I’d rather live in denial than fight
Twisted in sheets awaiting black skies
So I wait again for darkness and stars
And wonder when the night will be ours
