When I was younger, my family and I would talk
About what we thought the future might unlock
Sure, we’ve got lots of tiny tech
Digital music replaced the tape deck
But I still want to know… Where are the moving sidewalks?

She waited
He never arrived
Yet she still
Dreamt of him
Wishing he would bring the cure
For her lonely heart
He arrived
She never appeared
Yet he still
Dreamt of her
Wishing she would bring the cure
For his lonely heart
They held on
They never let go
Finally
Together
Broken, lonely hearts repaired
It was worth the wait

Midnight
My finest hour
Words screaming to be shared
When I should be swimming in dreams
Lights out

Please know — this was not my idea!
I’m not sure if I should be flattered or offended that someone and someone thought a poem should be written on this topic… and that I was the ‘poet‘ to do it!
I’m going to go with questionably flattered. But, oh my, what does this say about my character?!?
I hope it provides a laugh.

I once met a man so gorgeous I panicked…
Overwhelmed by our flirtatious dynamic.
My feelings were strong
But it went horribly wrong
‘Cause at the beach he wore a banana hammock.
I am sure I shouldn’t ask this… but… now I wonder what others would suggest I write about…? Should you so desire, let me know in the comments. And I may or may not oblige. But hell, if I took on the ‘banana hammock‘ theme… nothing is off limits!

At night
My broken heart
Falls asleep in denial
Craving the life of another
But deep inside my dreams
Every drop of your love is real
And I wish for no life
But my own

I created you for me
My beautiful fantasy
Born in the back of my mind
Living in a world I designed
The ultimate temptation
Speaking words of my creation
Breathing over skin warm and bare
Whispering with fingers in my hair
Kisses delicious and deep
Wrapped in your arms as I sleep
I love what my mind can do
Because I invented you

I don’t often do these things, but when I do, it’s because I was nominated by Lennon (Fabulous With Glitches) and she is so awesome that I decided to participate. [Plus it only has a few rules. And I’m a lazy fuck. With a filthy mouth. Sorry if that’s offensive to you, but it has been proven that I cannot stop. Really. I’ve been tested.] Anyway, yes, Lennon is easily one of the coolest bloggers ever. We have much in common. Well, except that she’s very positive and upbeat. Ahem. [Hey. At least this implies that I think I’m cool.]
Rules (which I will not follow):
— Thank the blogger who nominated you and include a link to their blog. (See above.)
— Include one meme and one quote you really like. (Aww… just one?)
— Nominate 8-13 bloggers to receive this award. (Nope…)
— Ask your nominees 3 UNIQUE questions.
— Add a link to the awards creator. (Unknown.)
I had trouble choosing only one meme and quote. I have trouble choosing only one anything… I’ve just got too much love to spread around. (Stop gagging.)
meme.

quote.
“I’m no hero. I put my bra on one boob at a time like everyone else.”
3 Unique Questions I Must Answer.
Use three words to describe you.
3 separate words? Or a phrase? Hm… snarky little bitch? Okay, 3 separate words… talented (see, I can be good to myself), naughty, cynical
If there was one job you could do for the rest of your life – what would it be?
The girl who oils up the male models on photo shoots. Or a writer. (Preferably a screenwriter so there’s greater hope of money and a trip to the Oscars. And a theme park.)
You’re going to be dumped on a desert island for a year and can take three things with you – what are they?
A super hot guy. Another super hot guy for when the first one gets tired. Hmm… third thing… um… birth control?

Thanks again, Lennon!
