Dear Marvel,
What the fuck is wrong with you? Seriously. What were you thinking with Thor in Endgame? Fat Thor? Really? Did you want to ruin the movie for me? Well, good fucking job.

Come on. He could have been wrecked without losing the abs.
You suck.
Love,

p.s. — (To my readers) I didn’t say ‘spoiler alert’ because, come on, if you haven’t seen Endgame by now, you just don’t care.

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
I had the opposite point of view and thought Endgame did a good job of showing Thor’s trauma. And as a fat man myself, I was pleased that when he resumes being a “bad ass” fighter at the end of the movie, he doesn’t magically lose all that weight, but is able to fight on fat and all.

I get why they did it and I don’t disagree with what you’ve said. This was meant to be somewhat of a joke… because of my obsession with Chris Hemsworth’s abs (and the rest of him). I’m not perfect, nor is anyone else in my “real life”… But when I watch Thor, I want the fantasy.

Well, there’s certainly no shortage of places to see Chris Hemsworth’s abs. 😊

True… though I admit it’s one of the things that make me enjoy Marvel movies more. Not just the abs… also the arms… and the accent. I know, that’s so shallow, but what can I say? I have a huge crush. It’s a fantasy…

Thank you for not thinking less of me. Well, unless you now think less of me. 🙁🙂

(laugh) Well, I have to agree with Liam, he still kicked ass. Maybe someone has made a version where they remove the digital fatness 🙂

Haha… that would be funny. Yeah, he still kicked ass. But I’m a woman and I have needs. Hahaha 😋

It was totally, I mean Totallly unnecessary to make Thor loose his abs.
There were so many other ways to show that there was a character development!!
But he was funny in a couple of scenes, when they are explaining the strategy and stuff.
Did you know, in the scene between Thor and Valkyrie where he makes her queen, he actually tried to kiss her but they cut the scene out!

Hmm… I’m glad that cut that scene out. He shouldn’t be kissing anyone but me. 🙂 Hahaha

Love Thor, and Marvel. And I might have a thing for guys that look like Fat Thor, so… I’m okay with it. But he’s also good eye candy when he’s ripped. 😉

It’s not that I have a problem with bigger guys. I just like my fantasy Thor on the big screen. Or any screen. Or in my bedroom. 🙂

Hahaha, just watched it a few weeks ago and I agree. Chris should always look good!

Yes! There’s plenty of imperfection in the real world. Give me my ripped Thor. 🙂

Exactly. I have enough reality in my own life. Movies should be an escape!
