When I go
can I live
in my imagination
like I’ve always wanted?
—
I know sometimes
it seems like
I’m in a hurry to go
but I’m not.
Except when I am.

This poem follows no pattern or rules… it just kind of sits there. Maybe it’s not even one poem… maybe it’s two.

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Poetry doesn’t need rules. They just are what they are! 🙂 I liked it!

It feels like two, then I re-read, and it flowed like one. Eye of the beholder, I guess. 😃

I wrote it all at once… but then I wasn’t sure it went together… but there it is anyway…

Worked nicely, I think, regardless of intent. 😊😊

I like it, too. It’s circular. 💫

Thanks. I do tend to go in circles… in my head!

That’s a good way to go. Just remember, when leaving your head, take some clutter with you, drop it along the way, and your head then gets decluttered, and a good place to be!
