when it’s dark. #poetry #haiku

Stop laughing at me
I am not too old to be
afraid of the dark

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. Who’s laughing? I can’t, hiding under the bed covers!

  2. We aren’t truly creatures of the dark, and I think it will always make us wary. Wonderful haiku.

  3. Marquessa says:

Not laughing. Especially when a spider on the ceiling above my bed is also involved…

  4. Lovely!

Last year the place I was staying in was PITCH BLACK whenever the lights were out. I slept with my lamp on every night. You’re never too old, haha!
