Mommy, I dropped my cup
Milk is all over the floor
Don’t worry, love
…I will fix it.
Daughter, I did something wrong
My tv’s stuck on channel three
I know what to do, Mom
…I will fix it.
Sister, I could use your advice
You’ve been through this before
Of course I will help you, Sis
…I will fix it.
Mom, I am not sure
My homework is perfect
Honey, let me see
…I will fix it.
Wife, my tire is flat
Can I borrow your car?
Yes, babe, give me your keys
…I will fix it.
Friend, please come over
I think I broke my blender
Be right over with mine
…I will fix it.
Me, I am exhausted
I need a moment alone
Can’t let them see me break
…I will fix it.
……Later.
You write beautifully and I know just what you mean cause I’ve been all those places…Hugs!

True story. We always deal with our own problems last. Thank God for Mothers day next week. I hope someone fixes for you to have a relaxing day 😉

Yum.
My husband went grocery shopping yesterday and I had him pick up a box. Of frosted flakes. 🙂

Well… I have not partaken yet of the magical flakes… and he’s left for work so… I think I’m on my own with the box…

Such willpower! I’ll admit that if I were there, I would have opened the box and eaten all of it!

Oh my God. Wanna come over? I’ll share.

I’d love to, but only if I get to open the box myself. If there’s a toy inside, I want it.

I haven’t opened the box yet… nor have I poked around for a toy yet… you’re welcome to do so…

WOW! EXTREMELY POWERFUL!! So man mothers can relate. PLEASE take care of yourself too. You won’t be able to “fix it” when you are completely broken. XO

You know… as soon as one part of my life feels better, another turns to crap. Exhausting….

Yes, but you’re still going, and that is the first step. 🙂

I feel like I’m running on fumes…not sure how long I’m going to last… And it’s the worst when it’s something I can’t fix. The fixing is easier…

When you don’t know what to do, stop and breathe. I know that sounds too simple, but it works. You will last. Find one good thing about today. Just one thing that makes you feel happy or accomplished. You can do it, I know you can. 🙂

I know… I just can’t get the other stuff out of my head. I am SO sick of thinking about it. Things I love and enjoy remind me of it…so things that made me happy kind of don’t right now. That feels so unfair… My own things…pieces of me… have been turned into painful reminders. I don’t want to lose them but everything feels tainted.

For now. It does, for now. The future will be different. Promise. XO

I hope so because I hate that I feel like I’ve lost joy in my own world because of this…

I wish I could wrap my arms around you, hold you, rock you and tell you how this too shall pass. When you are in the middle of it, I know it sure doesn’t seem like it will pass, but it ALWAYS does. Let your kids, who I know are a point of stress, be your motivation. They want nothing but good things for you too. Remember that. 🙂

Thanks sweetie. I just want to be able to enjoy my own little sources of happiness…peacefully. I don’t want them to be painful.

Maybe it’s your location… you probably don’t have a giant Target right there… I’m pretty sure there’s a purple one in my house somewhere, too. Possibly blue. My attic is full…
