Hi there. Thought I’d share something for last Thursday’s Which Way Challenge since I’m otherwise missing from here. Feeling alone and out of touch…
Stairs. I wish I lived in the house just behind them.

Once again, a thrilling post from me. Please accept my apologies.

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Apologies? You crack me up. You’re very hard on yourself, you know that? This pic is cool, man. Just a slight glimpse of what’s behind the imposing wall, a path leading up and over. I think it’s cool. And, I’m super happy you jumped in. I certainly hope you’ll be back. 😜

Once upon a time when I first visited one of the useless therapists I’ve seen, within the first 5 minutes… or less… he said that exact thing. “You are so hard on yourself.” Apparently this is a problem for me. But if I feel like a total fuck-up, how can I go easy on myself? I just don’t know how.
I have been wanting to be around here more but that desire comes at the wrong times… and it’s never there when I wish it was–when I’m hopelessly bored.

I feel out of place… and left out… which is my own doing, I guess. I don’t know… I’m just not right.

🙂 I wish I could get back to blogging the way I used to… but I guess at least I posted this…

🙂 Its easy to fall out of blogging, especially when you don’t have the inspiration or motivation to do it. But you posted this, and that’s great!

It’s hard not to compare to others’ pictures… and obviously, mine are not as good as most of what I see. And, of course, I expect too much of myself…

“Good” is totally subjective. Besides, these photography challenges are out there so that we can learn. I try to view myself as a student not a master, so that way I never feel bad compared to the other entries. You can have high expectations, ones that motivate you to improve, just not self defeating ones. Keep going Sandra, and stay with us!
