freak show. #1linerWeds

My life is like a freak show… only no one pays to see it.

Have a nice day. 🙂

But the one-liner is inspired by this show… which is not the show represented by the photo above, that one being Rick & Morty. Yes, I watch cartoons.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Hawaii where she could learn to surf. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  2. But it is the most beautiful freak show there is Sandra, it is showing you how to find you. Each time it will bring that stress so that you will finally ‘have had enough’ and begin that search to find your happiness. Which is by looking at those fears that keep you feeling trapped. understanding the ‘why’ of what drives them will set you free. Yes, they are hard to face, but the beauty and happiness beyond them are incredible ❤

    • Thanks… You kind of lose me, though, when you say things like this. I have most definitely had enough and I know exactly what my fears are and why I have them. But none of that frees me of anything nor gives me happiness. There’s a step (at least one) missing and I don’t know what it is.

      • We think we understand what drives our fears Sandra. We can see them and point the finger and say ‘there’, that is what caused it. And it is…but it is what is trapped beneath it that still holds you in place. The emotional holding pattern that has kept you in that fear. You will see it from a logical standpoint but the fear itself is built on the pain blocked beneath it. You will ‘know’ when you have finally touched it, the release will be like nothing else you have been through…and you will just ‘know’ you are now free ❤
You have to ask yourself how this fear makes you feel…you…personally. The emotions that it brings up and how they make you feel…and express those feelings with someone you trust. You need to be able to truly express exactly how they make you feel to someone close as they will be very intimate emotional feelings and you will need that trust to be able to go deep ❤
You will know when you begin to touch that 'spot', you will hesitate, even go off subject to steer it away from where you were going. You will even feel the need to end the conversation, break it off, get a coffee…but if you do, you will feel the loss within because you were so close. It is your spirit within letting you know to hold on, you are on the right path ❤
Sending love and light for your journey, may you also find that light to set you free ❤

        • Sounds like I just need to wait for something to happen. But I don’t think anything’s just going to happen. I really don’t understand. I have talked to people who know me probably as well as I know myself… they know everything… every feeling… everything. This has changed nothing.

          • That’s what life does…it happens…until you are faced with the exact thing that you need to break free. You end up appreciating it all the more because of what you have endured to find it, that is its purpose.
Have faith, it happens to us all ❤

I love it. But if you want to make us pay, we’ll gladly follow you on Patreon!

    • Oh, that would be my quickest way to zero followers…! (Plus, to be honest, I looked at that a while back and I’m not entirely sure how that works…) 🙂

$1/month per follower…I’ve seen it. But Patreon seems to be more about getting backers for specific projects and offering content found no where else.

        • Right. I don’t even feel like I have enough content here. I have no idea what I’d offer that’s not here. And if people can read my blog for free, why would they pay anything per month to read it? I have that “Buy Me a Coffee” link in my sidebar but people won’t just do that for no reason… no reward. And a lot of people probably don’t even see it because it’s in the sidebar so not visible in the [stupid] Reader. I just feel like I’m missing something for any of this to work for me…
