I’m waiting for the wind
to lift me from the ground,
carry me toward the clouds,
free me from everything
holding me prisoner.
And when I return
it will all feel lighter…
And though it will remain,
I know it will never
bury me again.
That’s the cloud dream.

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
I love this dream. ♥

Wouldn’t that be great? ♥ Even though I’m afraid of heights… 😀

Sure would! You can’t get hurt in a dream, so no worries. 😊

🙂 You know… I almost stopped after the first stanza… but that sounded like I was talking about never coming back… and that wasn’t my intention… (this is the second poem I wrote today… the first one was not so peaceful…)

I like this one. It’s a good message. Troubles don’t just disappear, but it’s all in how one responds. At least, that’s what I took from it. It’s really, really good. 😊

I wish I knew how to make it real… but I guess if I can invent it, there may be hope. 🙂 Of course, in this little story, I didn’t have to do anything… it just happened.

Honestly, it caught me by surprise. This one very light and, date I say, positive? I liked it. 👍🏻

Well… to be honest, I felt like I was writing about someone else… I guess that’s what they mean when they say “fake it”…

Whoa, whoa, whoa! No dude likes to her any woman talking about “faking it”! 😜

Not that that’s ever happened to me. I hope. I think I’d be able to tell. I think. 😜

I’m not sure about that… I’m pretty sure I’ve successfully faked it… Some women are really good at that… 😀

I don’t know. When it’s not faked, it’s pretty obvious. I can feel it, and, um…how should I say this and not sound crude…visual proof? Ok, that sounded crude. But you know what I mean. Maybe I’m fooling myself, but hell, I’d rather crank one out solo than be with someone who wasn’t into it…or me. 😃

Haha… I have no shame… don’t worry about sounding crude. 😀 Maybe I’m a good actress because I’m pretty sure the recipient of my “performance” had no idea it was fake. Maybe he was too focused on himself to realize it. By the way… just because someone fakes it doesn’t mean they’re not into it or into their partner… some people (women) have more trouble getting there than others. I don’t know who they are, but there are such women… no matter how into it they are.

Thank god I didn’t marry one of them. 😃

I’ve been in this dream. The clouds are so soft and bouncy, they never let you fall too far, and they caress you with a warm fuzzy feeling. Bliss!

Why can’t dreams ever be real??

I saw a Vincent Van Gogh quote yesterday: ‘For my part, I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.’ Your poem remind me of this – just lovely 🙂
