bad day.

morning:
today
will be a good day
something will go right
everything won’t go wrong
I will wake up
to sunshine
rain will wait
until tomorrow

evening:
today
was a bad day
nothing went right
everything went wrong
I will close my eyes
under clouded moonlight
wishing for sunshine
but expecting rain

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. No expectations. Whatever happens, happens.

  2. Don’t do that to yourself. See the good. Whether it’s raining or not, you get coffee! 😊

I’m sorry the day is going badly. The kids are just getting on each other’s nerves, i bet. I’m sure they don’t hate each other. I wish I had a good idea for how to keep them entertained but I am clueless in that department. Art projects maybe? There are a ton of tutorials on YouTube.

    • But it’s been a week… And we have 9 more to go…! Ugh. My daughter might be into art projects but my son probably won’t. And they’re just not super social to the point where they take off with their friends at this point. My son is a bit of a loner and my daughter’s a bit young… so it’s all on me. And everything else going on with me is just making it worse, you know? Sigh… I really want a nap.

Oh boy! Yeah I think I’d need a nap too… Well don’t despair. Maybe you’ll have a flash of inspiration. Or they will figure something out themselves.
