song of the day. #7

song of the day.

I tend to listen to my own music collection most of the time. Since the best alt-rock station on earth disappeared a few years ago, I rarely listen to live radio. But for the last few days, I thought I’d give it a chance. Maybe I was just craving something different. Of course, most of the time, I just flip from station to station, mumbling to myself. Oh my God… it’s all crap!

But sometimes I hear a song I like and I have to find it. When I do, I listen to it a few dozen times. And some of the words stick with me. When I love a song, that’s usually what sticks with me — lyrics. And in my mind, the words (or at least some of them) usually morph into words of love and romance and other such sappy things… even if that was never the writer’s intention.

If you love me, don’t let go
Hold…
Hold on…
Hold on to me
Cause I’m a little unsteady…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

I really like this song too but never saw the video. Hmm, not what I thought but it’s a good video. I generally hate all the commercials on the radio. And the stupid DJs who think I want to hear their life story, lol. Just play the damn music! We had a DJ-less station that played a variety and it went under. I was so sad.

Ooh, that’s a powerful little video. I’d never seen it. I like these guys a lot.
