irresistible.

skeletons.

You found beauty inside me
I never thought existed

You wanted me to trust you
Pulled me back when I drifted
You spoke the words I needed
The ones on which I subsisted

You whispered them into my ear
And something inside me twisted
Still, I fought you at every turn
But, of course, you insisted
Promised not a sunshine fairytale
Darkness not gone but lifted
I was lonely, lost and broken
But you relentlessly persisted
You begged me to believe
I was lovely, kind and gifted

You brought my heart back to life
How could I have resisted?

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Hawaii where she could learn to surf. She loves music, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
