she trusted you
she opened herself
exposed herself
she let you in
she never suspected
believing in you
was a mistake
she was naïve
you broke her innocence
destroyed her faith
crushed her heart
left her disillusioned
because
she never thought
your words were lies
and your endgame
was betrayal

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Powerful stuff, Sandra, but very dark. Very, very dark.

Well, “I only work in black. Or very dark grey.” (And that will probably not be funny if you haven’t seen The LEGO Movie 20 times like I have…)
Also, this is a bit of a dramatization… partially fiction…

I haven’t seen that film. I’ve stepped on too many pieces of lego’s over the years to find any proximity to them remotely enjoyable. 😀

Haha… It’s a line spoken by LEGO Batman… 🙂

Did he step on one, too? 😀

Haha… No… He was building something… He needed the proper pieces… thus the quote. 😀

I get it now! 😉

I seem to have a lot in common with Batman… Except being a girl of course…

Not to mention the batmobile and a batarang. Just sayin’….

You don’t know that I don’t have those things… I have toys. 🙂

My mind is racing thinking of what’s in cat woman’s utility belt. 😉

Oh yeah… fun toys. I mean, useful toys. To catch ‘bad guys’… 🙂

Yeah, I would imagine it would be a bummer for me if I were tying to seduce a woman and then got a batarang whipped at my head. 😀

Yeah, that would suck. 😀

It’s not 100% true… a bit fictionalized…

I’ve known a couple people like that. They suck! 😃

Yes they do! For a cynical woman, I often trust way too easily…!

Me too. 😕

I am ok… This is a bit exaggerated, though still unfortunate!

I knew it was fiction 😉 And very good, too

Well, not entirely fiction, to be honest. But I bit over-dramatized. People really do suck sometimes… particularly sucky when it turns out to be someone you totally trusted!

Yep, those people are out there 😦

Deep, dark, and vulnerable. It’s written exquisitely S.

Thank you. Dark comes so easily for me… I guess it makes sense for me to embrace it…

You write it so beautifully. You make dark look lovely if that’s possible? LOL
