hate-love.

hate-love.Hate
Violent, fiery
Consuming, seething, loathing
Driving every action, melting every emotion
Consuming, tingling, bewitching
Passionate, fiery
Love

swash.

This poem was a little experiment… I haven’t decided if I like it or not…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

I like it. It’s almost like one leading to another.

  3. Two sides of the same coin? Passion can turn into many things… I like it, too.

  4. I liked it. Polar opposites, with similar characteristics, that flowed into one another. Said a lot in just a few words. But, that’s what good writers do.

I like it! Two very strong emotions almost alike in their level of passion.

I love it! Was recently thinking of that song lyric, “the opposite of love’s indifference.” Because it really isn’t hate. They seem to be, but you’re right- they have lots in common.

  8. Oh yes – I like that very much – I’m a big fan of patterns and balance. You have embodied the essence of my nature in this poem. The only thing I would say is that you maybe need to work on the sounds of the words. Some sounds are soft and suggest love and others are hard and suggest hate. Consonance, assonance & alliteration are just the tip of the iceberg. I’m aware that I would like to know more about these things myself.
    Kindness – Robert.
