w is for wish. #atozchallenge

wish.w is for wish.

Have you ever thought
of returning to the moment
everything went wrong –
the moment you slipped?
That is my wish.

Of course, this requires
knowing the exact moment
I broke everything –
so I’ll need that too.
That is my wish.

Oh, one last thing –
I am going to need to know
how to stop myself
from fucking up again.
That is my wish.
swirl.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  3. That is my wish too! I am not one of those “I wouldn’t change a thing because my choices have made me what I am” people! My life would be a hell of a lot better if I’d done things differently! Now where is the Doctor and his TARDIS when we need him? This really hit home!

  4. Yup, I’ve thought of it. But then I realized the eff up was all part of the plan. Sometimes things need to unravel in order to become stronger.

Oh my…I woke up thinking that today. I have a big interview at 1:30 pm. Panic is setting in.

I usually think that the past shouldn’t be changed because everything is a learning experience. But, if I could know what was going on with Hannah in time, I would definitely go back and try to help her.

  9. Good post. There are so many times in life we wish we could return to a certain point in time to undo our decisions or to take another life path.
