m is for metaphor. #atozchallenge

hug.

m is for metaphor.

I could find a metaphor
For what you give to me
But I don’t need one
I could say you’re the flowers
In full bloom by the fence
Bringing a smile to my face
I could say you’re the moonlight
Glowing in the dark sky
Lighting my evening stroll
I could say you’re the window
Open to the warm breeze
Filling my lungs with life
I could find a metaphor
For what you give to me
But you already know

About what sandra thinks

Sandra began writing when she was a sixth grader. She is a teller of stories through poetry, fiction, and tales from her own life. And she thinks too much. Read, think, enjoy, laugh.

  1. Excellent. Never gave us the metaphor, but this was perfect. Love the opening as well as your end. (Well, the end of the poem that is). Great M word too.
