never say goodbye.
If you can’t find the words to say
‘See you later’ would be okay
‘Until we meet again’ will do
If I must be away from you
You can say, ‘sweetheart, do take care’
I think those are words I could bear
‘We will talk soon’ can be our script
But there’s one word we have to skip
Kiss me, hold me and make me sigh
But, honey, never say ‘goodbye’

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
I agree!!! Saying good-bye makes everything too real, too raw!

That’s romantic. “See you next time,” sounds much less sad.
