when I see you
hurting
when I hear you
crying
when I feel your heart
breaking
it kills me
that I cannot
fix you
it kills me
that I am
powerless

It’s not fun, being empathetic yet not being able to help. Don’t like feeling helpless or not useful. Kinda pisses me off, actually. 😃

In all such cases a hug is a great start! Even virtual hugs can start the healing.

The worst feeling is the feeling of powerlessness 😳to see pain around you and not be able to help or fix it, is torture.

I agree. And even worse when it’s your child. At least I feel that way…
