lost in imagination
inside worlds of my own creation
I never wanted to leave
the romance of the stories I weave
but my mind has locked the door
cannot break through that wall anymore
outside in the cold and grey
cast aside, abandoned, tossed away
is it over? am I done?
I don’t think I ever could have won
so I sigh and take my place
and try to live with a speck of grace

About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Its hard to have grace when all around take it from you.. I feel you Sandra ☺

Always a pleasure Sandra… I hope you’re getting some joy at this time of year! ☺

I was about to say… “I’m trying,” but I think it’d be more joyful if I didn’t have to try! (And I’m sure I’m extra bitter today because I have to see my mother-in-law later this afternoon. UGH. It’s painful.)

Toy shouldn’t have to try and be joyful. But i have a similar issue myself… It wears you down!

Hey now… I can’t believe you’re done. Just chill till the holidays are over and you’ll get back to writing. I’m hoping you’ll help me ‘bake’ this year. 🙏

What are we baking? I can’t just walk in and buy it till 2018… Aahhhahaha 😀

You’ll get it back. I’m in much the same boat with writing. It used to come much easier. Sigh. Maybe we should grow some “medicine,” to help our creativity. 😄

We don’t even have to call it medicine anymore… 😃

I know. Can’t pick up a seed packet at the Hope Depot garden center… (yet?)

Ha! Maybe in a couple years. I know someone can gift another adult with some but I don’t know about seeds. We can grow 6 plants each but just need freakin seeds!

Grace and mercy very much intertwined. Grace is undeserved mercy and mercy is a gift. I’m sad you are stuck in the grey but I’m praying you find inspiration and more than a speck of grace. It’s always there, it’s free, something given, that you can’t be rid of. It’s just a matter of seeing it. So I pray for you, that you see light, grace, and happiness. I really want you to be happy. But I understand how tough things are at times with depression and the like.
