shy.

shy.

did you know
I was watching
when you tried to hide
that you were
watching me?
I was hoping
you would speak to me
because I was too shy
to speak to you.
for days, weeks, months
I imagined
your voice
your touch
your kiss
your love
but I believed
it was truly fantasy –
a dream
I would never live.
but I was wrong
assuming impossibility
because you
were only waiting
for the perfect moment
to speak to me
to touch me
to kiss me
to love me.

grey hearts.

Beautifully written piece Sandra. I can relate to that, being to shy to speak (some time ago) and having someone I liked, being the same way. Glad for your speaker and her guy it worked out 🙂
