unforgiven.
I was forgiven
Your words, not mine
But I am confused
Please tell me why
You keep rehashing
Events from the past
I thought it was over
That I’d heard the last
Maybe you cannot
Forget my mistakes
I’ve tried everything
What more does it take?
My memories of us
Now cause me pain
Time for me to move on
Unforgiven I remain
This is another poem I wrote but rejected during the a-to-z challenge.
And by the way, I’m fine — this is just a poem about those who cannot forgive and about knowing when it’s time to walk away.
About what sandra thinks
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Once again, such a wonderful way with words. I love what you write!

Oh, thank you. I couldn’t write last night at all… I was happy to have my “rejects”!

This was a good one! It has a good rhythym to it. I’m glad you saved it for a sunny day (finally, right?!?) 🙂

I know! And it’s supposed to be nice for DAYS! I hope to hell it helps my ridiculously extreme mood swings… because this ride is making me nauseous.

I know what you mean! I was ready to jump off a bridge myself. Glad you’re feeling better! 😀

It makes me feel better knowing it wasn’t just me. Not that I want you to jump off any bridges!! I just begin to question my own sanity at times… 🙂

No, it wasn’t just you. Everyone was feeling it to one degree or another. I don’t know how people who live in perpetually rainy places cope with it!
