r is for run. #atozchallenge

I’m sure your expectation for R, my lovely readers, was romance. And that was my intention. But it didn’t quite work out that way… although this is romantic. And there’s plenty of romance to be found on this blog anyway…

r is for run.

Take my hand
Look at me and listen
You can always hear me
Without a word spoken
And I read your thoughts
Like they’re my own
My eyes light up
Your smile grows
It’s time for us to go
Escape the mess
We never meant to make
Maybe it’s selfish
And definitely scary
But you’re beside me
And I’m beside you
It doesn’t have to be easy
It only has to be us
Hand in hand
Deep breath

A to Z challenge — a letter a day throughout the month of April (except Sundays) until we reach z.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. Aw, run! Love it! The addendum to my limerick expresses something similar to your last few lines! 🙂 Great minds…

I actually loved this. Far more racy than romance. 🙂

  3. NIce. You suprised me. I thought you would have done romance and Meg run. The two of you switched it up.
