mine. a poem by sandra.

He’s the one who wakes me with a kiss
He’s the one who holds my hand in his
He’s the one who stepped out of my dreams
He’s the one who loves me endlessly
I’m the one who always makes him smile
I’m the one who keeps him up at night
I’m the one who drives him to his art
I’m the one who fills his aching heart

He’s the one who makes the stars align

I’m the one who imagines he is mine

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy, too. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

this is really beautiful! I love how you have juxtaposed “he’s the one” with “i’m the one”. poetry really suits you Sandra!

  3. This is absoluately amazing. Every words is gorgeous. Every word inspiring. I love the line of “driving him to art.” It is so poetic. You must feel special. Beautiful women like you are unique because you can inspire men to create. Bravo. This may very well be your masterpiece.
