get ready.

get ready. a poem by sandra.

swish.
Your hot breath on my skin,
Your touch igniting the fire,
Your sweet delicious kisses
Leave me drowning in desire.
I’m desperate to relive
The love we made last night
So turn down the sheets
Play soft music, dim the lights.
Pop the cork and pour the wine
I’ve had a long, slow afternoon.
But I’m leaving now, my love.
Get ready – I’ll be home soon.
swish.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. Yeah, buddy! Bryan Ferry-esque lyrics. Sorry, they’re all going to be songs to me, now! 🙂

Confirmed. You had a way better yesterday than I. My main activity was trying to get through my email. I’ll take a look at my priorities.

  5. Don’t feel bad. That didn’t actually happen. Yesterday.
