my beloved.

my beloved.

The winter night I met him
My heart changed inside me.
So overcome and amazed,
Impossible to sleep.

In my arms, against my chest
Innocent, perfect, dear.
Things will never be the same
Because now he is here.

And then I whisper is his tiny ear:

I make this promise to you,
And I hope it’s enough:
I’ll be the kind of mother
You deserve, my beloved.

  2. So lovely! You should print this out, or have someone write it out in calligraphy and then frame it for him!
