just stuff.

I don’t know if this is an update… or a venting session… or just me being overwhelmed…

Stupid phone.
My phone decided that it didn’t want to update apps anymore. First, the updates were taking forever. Then, my phone froze. Finally, I got it to restart… but I still can’t update. Husband… who is good with tech issues… is still trying to find a solution. So far, nothing. But I can’t just stop updating my apps forever.

This sort of thing seems to happen to me often. I think I’m tech-jinxed. I have never treated my phone with anything but respect. I’m careful with it… keep it nearby… have never dropped it or anything like that. Yet still… it torments me with issues. I do not have ‘extra’ (or any) money lying around for a new phone.

A-to-Z.
I think I’m done with A – K now… but I reserve the right to edit everything! Only 15 letters to go…

The pain.
Tomorrow morning, I go in for the latest attempt to help my back pain. I’m really nervous and scared. I feel like I’m going to be sick. I have a headache. I’m just a mess. My worries and fears are as follows: What if something goes wrong? What if it hurts? What if it doesn’t work?

And I don’t like talking about this. I guess I think it makes me seem weak.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  2. Are you taking after your phone? Or is it taking after you 😀
It most certainly isn’t you my friend, they are cantankerous things at the best of times 😦
Anyway, just my ten cents worth. I never update anything but the browser I use on it, simply because they cannot take into account all the different varieties out there and your phone will constantly crash each time you update ‘all’ of the updates that it asks you to. And then, and only when I have to, and after doing much research I will update an ‘upgrade’ for my phone. But as I said, not until I do research on that exact update version. Online will tell you straight away how many people have had problems with them and which model phones are having the problems.
My Sony had an upgrade that almost crashed half of all of them in existence. They had to put an urgent patch out there to fix it. Just shows how much testing they do before they put the updates ‘out there’. Mind you, as I said, take into account just how many different varieties there are, we would never have an update if we had to wait for them to test them all 😀

Deep breathe. Yoga breathes they calm you so well. Hopefully you find some answers and a solution. Hearing bags/pads I hope, provide some relief for a bit. Good luck, you’ll be okay!

  6. You are certainly not weak, Sandra. We all need a vent, and we all can’t help any emotions we feel, only how we act upon them. Take some time for yourself. Relax. Rather than, “what if it goes wrong?” Take five minutes to consider, “what if it goes right?”

I would wager these other issues are only rising to the surface on the count of the last issue, which by far seems the one you are concerned about the most.

You are allowed a bad day.

  8. Try not to worry so much about tomorrow. I know….easier said than done. But, don’t invite the negative on that one. Just go in with a blank slate. It may actually help.

  9. I swear it’s planned obsolescence. We had so many issues with our car last year, mega bucks, and weeks of taking it back in . And finally had to get new phones cause after a few years they just won’t work. It’s not you. Good luck with your appt!!

  10. You could put that header pic on a card with the words “Get Knotted!”
Then send one to your phone.
It may do nothing but it will feel good.

    Hugs.
