Hey look! It’s a Fiction Friday post. Well, sort of.
For the record, formatting this as a fake ‘texting’ image was a pain in the ass. I don’t recommend it. I’m not super happy with it either… it’s just so… simple and cheesy. But I’ve decided to post it anyway… because, let’s face it, I haven’t been happy with much of anything I’ve written for months anyway… so what the hell…
This was inspired by Marquessa’s Lyrical Fiction Friday prompt. Well, this piece of it anyway: “I’m trying to erase you from my mind…” And I guess my story is sort of the opposite of that line… these two are definitely not trying to erase each other…

Well done! That appetite certainly does vanish when love is in the air.

I loved this Sandra! Simply and poignant. I was going to ask how you formatted those text block but….I won’t bother if it was that much work!😆

I’m sure I did it the hard way… I created the shapes in Word… made then all uniform… Then I inserted transparent text boxes over them. Then… I took screenshots and pieced them together in a graphics program. Like I said… the hard way. 🙂 I’m glad you liked it…

It was cute! The story and the design booth. And you’re right, when I was in lust and newly married, I was my thinnest!

I like the way you’ve done this. I’ve never tried to format as a text message but you’ve done a great job with it. The style is very clear and it reads great.
You should definitely keep playing with this concept. It’s a clever medium to tell stories

I love dialogue. I think it’s my favorite part of fiction writing. I’ve done a few things like this that are dialogue-only but not with the text message graphics. It’s kind of fun… 🙂

It makes your writing even more visually interesting. It’s a clever way to tell inyeresting stories in a modern way.
Dialogue is wonderful… im terrible at it but I love it. It’s probably why I don’t write as much fiction. It’s probably why I should so I can get better

I also like writing dialogue with the speaker’s private inner thoughts dispersed in between. That may be my favorite of all. I find that I can inject some humor and bluntness that way… and readers seem to like it a lot.
