missing myself.

I’ll never worry
about someone
stealing
my identity
because
I don’t have one.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

Oi… I think you have an identity. I mean if you didn’t, then I wouldn’t be able to follow you O_o

It moved me. I felt for you. Then I thought, maybe she’s expressing someone else’s feelings. Sadly, I felt better. Only because, I haven’t connected with who ever it maybe, only you. Yet, we all have felt as we have lost our identity. It’s a beautiful piece.

  4. You comment above “I think so.”

Cogito ergo sum. Cogito ergo sum is a Latin philosophical proposition by René Descartes usually translated into English as “I think, therefore I am”. The phrase originally appeared in French as je pense, donc je suis in his Discourse on the Method, so as to reach a wider audience than Latin would have allowed.
Therefore, since you think, then you are, and thus have an identity!

Or you have no identity because you are a super secret deep cover agent on a mission to save the world. Boom!

  8. Shefali says:

What I believe is we have different versions to ourselves which we operate with at different times…

You feel you lost something when that version of you is compromised.

But you always have an identity to move on with other version of yourself.

Short and powerful piece. I liked it.

    Keep writing ❤
