words.

My words turn to dust
before I can decipher
what they’re telling me.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. Ya’ know, I’m hesitant to say this, for fear you’ll think I don’t like your fictional writing, but I think poetry is your wheelhouse. 😊

    • It’s weird… I have written fiction for far longer and have written much more of it… but people seem to like my poetry more. Even weirder… I feel like I haven’t written a decent poem in months. Also weird… I have never been a huge fan of reading poetry… and if I hadn’t taken a free wp class almost 2 years ago, I wouldn’t be writing any now…

Too bad there’s no money in any of it…

      • Yeah, the no money in it thing applies to me and my pics too. But ya’ know, I have to do it, whether paid or not.

I enjoy your fiction, and it’s really good. But you have the ability to say an awful lot in just a few words. I bet you’d be a good songwriter. 😃

        • I know… I have to do it, too. That’s why no matter how frustrated I get with plot or anything else, I still write. It’s also why I haven’t posted all weekend… I’ve been writing my story.

The songwriter thing has been suggested to me before… I’m no musician, of course, so I’m not sure where I’d go with that… I guess it’d really just be a poem. 🙂 My husband is a musician (you know, for fun) and I actually gave him a song I wrote once but he never did anything with it. Jerk. 😐

  4. I agree with Beach, your poetry is superb. And I find it very difficult to write any poetry so I know how hard it can be 🙂
