Not sure if I should post this. But I’m going to trust that you are mature enough to be civil in the comments even if you disagree. Everyone has a right to their opinion. You have yours. I have mine.

All of that being said… I have not used today’s O word at all in this post. And I haven’t read the 300+ page report (You know the one). (Or 400+ or 700+ pages? I don’t know I’ve heard so many different numbers.) But I turned on the television this morning and saw this…
I didn’t think it was real. I thought maybe I was watching Stephen Colbert or Seth Meyers. But it was the wrong time of day. And if George Stephanopoulos is there, it must be real.
p.s.— I’m still super anxious about posting this. But then… I also can’t help myself. I’ll turn off comments if there’s a problem. Or I’ll remove the post. We’ll see…

I don’t know but you’re entitled to your own opinions I think. I mean people can disagree but it shouldn’t end a friendship or cause them to stop following you!

At this point in the term, I don’t want him out. Pence is FAR worse. Now, if they want to wait until he’s got a few weeks left before roasting him, I’d be fine with that. Oh, and screw them if they disagree with you. You don’t have to explain yourself or justify your opinion. Period.

I read your post as more about the arguing that goes on among everyone with an opinion. I’m not sure there’s anything this president can do to alienate his base. Including get indicted. The next election is going to be monumental.

While this is true, the same can be said of the other side. Loretta Lynch meets Bill Clinton a few weeks before Hillary is questioned by the FBI at a clandestine meeting on a tarmac and no one on that side thinks that is a curious event. Then, we find out that her letter of exoneration was written 2 weeks before she was interviewed. Yet, the majority of Americans voted for her. The only difference, and based on Strok/Page texts that Mueller got, was that the FBI had Hillary’s back.

I won’t argue that. I was really trying to stay politically neutral and just state the fact that Trump’s supporters won’t abandon him no matter what. I believe that Hilary didn’t inspire that kind of loyalty, but got more votes as the lesser of two evils. Which ultimately didn’t matter.

I owe no allegiance to either party. If Trump is guilty, he should pay the price. My only frustration is the double standard that exists. Fairness is the only way that a political system can exist.

Good point. I just know that the country is divided right now. There are a lot of extremists. I’m never sure what to expect… but I usually stay out of conversations about it.

Trump seems like the kind of guy who will spoil the ending of Avengers: Endgame in one of his tweets. That’s the worst thing I can think to say of a person.

I think your poem well fits the O-word “Opposition”. And I agree. A study showed that the only thing posting volatile, divisive views on social media does is push people more strongly toward the view they already had. The only way to come together is through actual, mutual, respectful conversation. Not online engagement.
