I have over one hundred unread messages in my inbox. Again I’ve fallen insanely far behind. There is little hope of catching up. I’m sorry. I’m doing the best I can. My best just isn’t very good. I get overwhelmed so easily lately.

I truly hate this awful crop top trend that’s happening. No one looks good in a cropped anything… shirt, sweater, sweatshirt, hoodie… no no no! So stupid. And don’t get me started on ‘mom jeans‘. [And obviously, no offense intended. I have no idea what you’re wearing right now. This could be a total foot-in-mouth situation.]

What the hell is up with all the spam? I try to check my spam folder somewhat frequently to make sure no ‘real‘ comments are landing there. However, lately, when I check, I have so many that I can’t go through them all to see if any are legit. And by ‘so many‘ I mean three or four hundred. I checked yesterday… I had seven. I checked today… I have 326. What the hell? Is it the Russians? I think it’s the Russians.

I have officially surpassed 3500 followers. I mean the WP ones, not including the twitter ones that WP adds to the total. That seems completely mad. What is wrong with you people?? Seriously, though. A big fat thank you… and a big fat hug… to the 12 of you that actually read my blog.

Okay, maybe 23? 42? 57? Oh, but 42 is always the answer.

Thank you to all my fans.

I really hate when someone says (s)he or someone else is ## years young. That’s not a thing! Don’t try to make it a thing. You just sound like a fucking idiot. As the years pass, one gets older. You are 11 years old. You are 75 years old. Old, dammit!!! [For the record, I am FAR from 75 years old. And sadly, FAR from 11 years old, too.]

I was out shopping this afternoon for a coat. Not for me, for my husband. But that is irrelevant. What I wanted to say is as follows— To all stores on earth: Turn off the fucking Christmas music. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet. Hell, I’d be happier if they never played it at all. You know, I read a study (I love studies) that confirmed something I’ve known for years: Christmas music stresses people out. It makes people agitated and anxious. Did you know? I am a statistic.

I also went to Trader Joe’s earlier… while hungry. Just so you know—their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are fucking delicious. It’s okay that I ate them, though, because I also bought a salad. And some oranges.

Okay, I guarantee someone is going to laugh at me for this one… and that’s okay. I deserve it. Sigh. There’s this commercial that airs frequently at night. I usually see it during Colbert or Seth Meyers. And I look forward to it. It’s an ad for Botox. Yep. Botox. For men. And I’m totally in love with this one guy in the ad. He is fucking perfect and I want to know who he is. I’ve searched and searched, but Google has failed me. Google is not supposed to fail me. Dammit.

[Pictures of super hot guy removed due to comments that upset me because they are ruining him for me. *sadness*]

I have to go now. It’s past my bedtime and I need to stare at pictures of this guy for a little while until I fall asleep. Thank you and good night.

seriously: delete the emails! Don’t stress! lol
That guy actually looked like Jesus in the first picture haha
And I was listening to the radio the other day and it said that people who decorate for Christmas early are actually happier because it gives them a purpose and the memories of past Christmases and brings them joy from those memories. But people who listen to Christmas music early are more stressed out because it causes them to remember all the things they have to do haha. I’m with you on the “too early for Christmas music” stuff. But I’ll be setting up my Christmas tree first thing tomorrow!! Any time after November 12th is ok in my books. But we’ve already had Thanksgiving lol

    • I definitely did not get any sort of Jesus vibe from that guy. Of course I don’t ever think of things like that because religion is not part of my life.

Every single thing about Christmas stresses me out. I’d like to skip it completely but my family wouldn’t stand for that. And I miss when I was a kid and nothing about Christmas ever began until after (our) Thanksgiving. It’s all just a money grab. The longer the Christmas season is prolonged, the more money people spend. And the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Blech.

Yeah I totally agree with the consumerism part of Christmas totally taking over. It’s such a shame! I loved the years I lived in Korea because Christmas isn’t so big there. It was great to have the break from having to buy everything! This year I made most of my gifts so that was great

        • I’m not sure I’m even going to do gifts this year. Not many, anyway. Finances are tight. I’m glad my sisters and Mom are super generous to my kids!

Yeah. I want to get to a place where there are no gifts for my family too. It’s not needed

            • And it’s SO excessive! Last year at my mom’s on Christmas morning, my nephew had tons of gifts, mostly from his own parents (my sister and brother-in-law). I don’t really care what they do or how they spend their money, but my nephew was obnoxious. He said to my kids, “You didn’t get very much…” It’s all about presents to some people! I may not be religious, but I’d rather focus on seeing family and having fun than how much money is spent!

Yeah exactly!! My kids are the same way (like they aren’t mine but you know what I mean) I told them I’m not doin birthday gifts any more cos id rather just spend one on one time with them instead and the one who just had her bday was like “I’d rather just have the gift” and it was like “yeah that’s the whole point” lol

                • It’s terrible and I don’t entirely blame the kids either. I think, at least to some extent, kids see what their peers have and they want to have all the same things. But, man, some of these kids are so spoiled!

Oh I know! It definitely is a hard thing for kids to understand when everyone isn’t getting the same thing. Or the same amount of things. And kids can also be very self centred lol but raising them to be great fun and fulfilled without all the things of the world is a great thing to achieve!!

when our kids were little – we told them after we had one big Christmas that in the future it would be not too big (just to not have the excess and then needs escalate) and we said if we did have a big gift for them – it would be given in Feb. or March – but not Xmas – and it has worked well –

                • I have a messy situation with gifts in that my daughter’s birthday is in November and my son’s in January. They surround Xmas… and it’s too easy for it to become too much. Plus — they don’t want little things anymore. No toys and such. They either want more pricey things… or money. So there aren’t lots of gifts anyway at this point since they are either expensive or they just get cash.

oh wow – bdays in those months must be tricky.
we found a happy solution to give a check, three medium gifts, three small gifts and stocking stuffers. and anything little I find 0 then they get checks or gifts from other (inlaws etc)
but we try to find gist that make them laugh too – it did get easier for expectations being set

                    • Among my issues are… we have a small house and I’m unemployed. So not only do we not want to spend a lot of money, but I hate the thought of bringing anything into the house that’s not ‘necessary’ or truly, truly wanted. And the thought of money being wasted on ‘things’ just for the sake of having a gift to give makes me super anxious. So, the answer is usually cash. It makes Xmas morning less fun and exciting, but in the long run, it’s better.

That being said, this year may involve an Xbox or a PS4. But I’m not paying for it!

well hard to believe xmas is almost upon us. Our neighbors just put up their tree – (they are new – a man that used to live there left after 15 years and he was cool) anyhow, I saw the tree up and was not annoyed – but a little excited I guess –

                    • I would have been annoyed… lol. I do not want xmas in my face until after Thanksgiving. Even when I was a kid and couldn’t wait for Santa to come… we never really talked about xmas until after Thanksgiving. I’m a total grinch now… I hate xmas… so my attitude sucks, but still… it’s too soon!

yes – and one time we put up our tree right after thanksgiving and by the 20th of december we were burned out. so now we wait util well into December and we do not get fatigued before xmas

  2. I’m with gigglingfattie – delete the lot, adjust your settings so you only receive email notifications from favoured sites that you definitely do not want to miss, then occasionally use the reader to dip in and out of any that take your fancy – WHEN YOU HAVE TIME!
Also, that guy does look like my stereotype view of Jesus!!

Trader Joe’s candy is my complete downfall. I don’t care how good my intentions are to just stick to my list, I always come home with too many sweets. The peanut butter cups and their toffee and the dark chocolate caramels – oh my word!!! Yes to deleting the spam and not worrying about it! These were fun random things!

I wish the other commenters didn’t ruin the guy for you lol, I’m curious to see what he looks like!

but right before i came to this post the first time – I saw one of my favorite singer’s and she had on the outfit you were talking about (mom jeans and the cropped shirt and I was like – what is she wearing..) and then came to your post and you helped me see it is a trend now.
