this time. #poetry

fading roses.

I feel it
starting to surface
the sadness
from inside
Maybe it won’t ruin me
at least not this time

[FYI: I’m sort of okay. I didn’t just write this. I’m still having writing issues. I found this in a ‘rejected poems’ file.]

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  4. You know what I’d say, so I won’t bore you with a rinse-and-repeat….though I stand by my previously previous statements. That said, I’d love to see that “rejected” file. I’d bet it’s pretty chock full of great stuff. 🙂

I like this! It’s sad but also uplifting. And also kind of how I’ve been feeling lately myself

  7. I liked this. Short and…well not sweet but it had feeling.
Maybe, if you don’t like whats coming out when writing, do more of that. Write it and if there is an inkling of something you think is worth saving then keep it in a “rejected” folder and come back to it in a months time or more. You may like it more then, or at least be able to take whats there and turn it into something else. 🙂

  9. Short and sweet and touching. It should never have been in the rejected poems file
