I know you like him, and I’m not dissing anyone’s musical taste. But, I just have never beeninto him. That said, I liked this song. I need to hear the other 3.

I don’t expect everyone to love every song I post. And yeah, Hozier is not for everyone. Hell, nobody is for everyone. There’s a lot of music I hate but I usually don’t say so. Unless it’s some shit my daughter is making me listen to in the car. Then she knows when I think it’s crap. [Although… I’m horrified to admit that there is a pop act that I actually really like right now. Please don’t hate me. And no, I’m not telling who!]

Hahaha! I try not to criticize the stuff my kids listen to either, of the pop stuff. And they’ve been educated on “good” music too, from day 1, so they have varied taste. I never listen to pop though…EVER. Well, the radio in our treatment gym at work stays on the usual station, so I’m forced to hear the same songs about 10 times each in any given day. But not by choice, I can assure you of that. 😃

My kids do listen to some good stuff. But there is crap, too. It makes me uncomfortable when I think, “this is alright… it’s not so bad…” haha!

I find him to be very interesting. I liked “Take me to church” a lot. Looks like he’s toning down the ultra produced sound of that song a bit.

I think so, too. Apparently, he’s still shocked that “Take Me to Church” was such a huge hit.

And it was huge. I think that a lot of artists feel pressure to recreate that prior hit, so it’s tough if you’re new and your 1st hit is a mega hit. A tough act to follow.

Finally is right! I hope he’s got more than just four songs in the pipeline! This is a good one. I actually liked his bluesier stuff from the first album and so this sounds like a great start!
