valentine.

broken heart.

I’m not big on Valentine’s Day (shocker!) but some of you (all of you?) must be less cynical than I am. I was playing around with some of my cute little animals, and I made a few valentines. I designed cards, of course. But my heart-hugging creatures are also available on tees, notebooks, journals, bags, pillows, stickers…

And of course, love isn’t just for Valentine’s Day… that’s just when it gets shoved in your face.

[By the way, if you would like to see any of these on a different color background, I’m sure I can accommodate. Don’t hesitate to ask for what you want…]

what sandra makes.

I promise I’m not going to make ‘selling myself’ a regular thing. I just thought I’d share these new little guys I loaded to my shop yesterday. I’m just excited I’ve been designing more stuff lately… I was going through a dry spell…

Okay… Nothing more to see here…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

These are super cute Sandra! And you know… I think you should do this more often!! I am sure I will not be the only one who thinks that a little reminder and a display of your new items would encourage people to come back to the store, and therefore, buy more 🙂

    • Maybe I can make it a weekly update sort of thing… if I have new stuff. I just always feel like I’m being obnoxious!

I’m glad you like them. 🙂♥

you’re not being obnoxious at all! The weekly thing is a great idea… And on weeks when you don’t have new designs to announce, you could remind people of some of your first ones!

Scrolling through all the stuff in a cyber-store can be long… Weekly posts could draw some people in for specific items, and hopefully interest them enough to shop around a little?

        • I really like this idea. Someone suggested something similar to me before. I would like to do it but I just hate for anyone to think I’m just looking for sales, you know? I guess dumping all my personal crap and sad poetry shows that that’s not my purpose here… 🙂

Those are cute. I’m not a big valentine’s person myself, but I like to see cute things!

    • Yeah, me neither… but they’re just hearts… and love. I intentionally do not put “Happy Valentine’s Day” on anything! 😀 Also, I have the same animals (and a couple more) without hearts. They’re just cute. I had Christmas ones, too. Hm… I may be obsessed with these animals. 😀

I think it’s positive to be obsessed with cute things as opposed to yucky things, fi you’re going to be obsessed! I also think it’s smart not to have the specifics like ‘happy [whatever[‘ so things can be more all-purpose.

    These are soooo cute!!!

I’m not a big Valentine’s Day person either. I don’t tend to celebrate it even if I have a person to celebrate it with

The Victorians used to send ‘Vinegar’ cards to those they didn’t like. There’s an interesting post on Brighton Museum’s website:

I bet a lot of people will be glad the practice doesn’t continue today!
