beautiful. #poetry

I know I should
feel
beautiful
on my own
but I crave a love
that makes me
feel
beautiful
even when I can’t
feel it alone

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

Alas you touched upon the weak link in the human condition. That all strength derives from the love we have for ourselves, but this love cannot be understood until someone else names it for us.

  6. The internal eternal struggle for us all. To truely feel that in our own eyes we are beautiful and worthy of being seen that way in others eyes.

You are beautiful no matter what you tell yourself.
Your hair however is ‘okay’… but I’m biased 😄♥

  10. People always say that, but I’ve gone without self love pretty much my whole life… yet others love me. Or does this mean they don’t?

    • Hi… thanks for visiting! I’ve been blogging for over two years now. I wish I had some words of wisdom to share, but to be honest, I have no idea how people find me! But I would say… be real, be yourself even if you don’t think you should. I think people respond to those they feel they know or understand through their words. And have fun… 🙂
