I’ve got a secret. #4

“We don’t have time for this…” I mumbled into his ear as he reached around me looking for the zipper at the back of my fancy dress.

“I don’t care. They can wait.” He tickled my neck with his soft, sweet kisses.

“Jason… it’s a wedding. You’re the best man. Come on… we have to go.”

Slowly, he unzipped my dress. “We’re not going… yet…”

I parted my lips to speak but he silenced me with his kiss. And he knew he would get his way. He knew exactly how to kiss me… touch me… to make me give in. More than that—he knew I didn’t want to go yet either.

When his mouth left mine, I smiled and grabbed him by the lapels of his jacket. If we were going to be late, it was going to be worth it. I took his mouth this time as I pushed his jacket off his shoulders.

Our kisses barely paused enough for breath and certainly not enough to prevent that dress from landing in a little pile on the floor. I slowly nudged him toward the bed pulling clothes from him along the way.

He knew I was going to push him down on that bed. That was the explanation for the devilish smile on his face. And of course, he was right. It didn’t take much of a push… he was already falling. I crawled on top of him and pulled his mouth back to mine.

He laughed a little laugh into our kiss. “I knew you secretly wanted to be late…”

Secret: true story. The bride and groom still think I was searching for my lost earring… and his car wouldn’t start. They weren’t even good lies…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. Hahaha! Sounds like Jake Blues trying to explain to Carrie Fischer why he missed their wedding in the Blues Brothers. His excuse of locusts seemed to work in that scene. 😃😃
