If I don’t
tell the truth
you’ll never know
how I feel

If I don’t
let you in
you’ll never know
how much it hurts

If I don’t
say the words
you’ll never know
how I think

If I don’t
cry to you
you’ll never know
I’m in pain

But…
If I don’t
hide myself
you will know
how weak I am

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little.     I definitely ❤️❤️❤️ this. I was in that position for a long time with someone I love. But after he learned of my anxiety, I loved him even more because he surprisingly tried to understand. He makes effort to learn what I need. And he doesn’t look at my anxiety and see weakness….. he sees strength

    Love the poem Sandra.

    It’s really not a bad thing for someone, or indeed everyone, to know that you are feeling weak, or vulnerable, or totally lost. The more open you are, the better people can support you, and help you.
