disbelief.

loneliness

I can’t shake
the feeling
nothing will ever
be right.
I’m looking
for answers
but I can’t find
the good
inside anything.
I only see
the pain.
They tell me
someday
it will all
make sense.
I don’t believe them.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. You are not alone. I don’t believe ‘them’ either. They have never given me a reason to believe them. I hope you are truly okay. 🙏

I hate when people say things like: “everything happens for a reason.” Is that supposed to be comforting? Still waiting to find out… 😦

I don’t think that anything will ever make sense, but it doesn’t mean it’ll never be right, either.

  5. I was about to panic. But you told me not to, sooo….
“They” generally don’t know what the fuck “they’re” talking about. Pack up the kids and get outta the house for a bit. May help. Or so “they” say. 😃

    • I don’t really have anywhere to go… Damn, even my son has been stressed out lately. That makes me sad. (And of course, it’s my fault… genetics, you know…) So I feel like that’s not right either… and I feel powerless on all fronts. And a little hopeless. I guess I’m kind of panicking. But that doesn’t mean you should!

      • Well, much to my chagrin, I’m an empath. I can’t not feel it. Go for a walk, go to the park, take em to the beach. Just get out of the house. Put your mind on something else, laugh with your kids. It’s not much, but it helps a bit. And doesn’t have to cost a thing. Change of scenery does some good, ya’ know?

I know how you feel here… I often don’t believe them either but you kind of have to cling to that belief! 😊
