Seriously. These thoughts are not deep. I think I just needed to empty my head…
It was fucking hot today. When I looked outside, I expected to see Satan out there having a fucking picnic. My car temp said it was 99ºF. Only 95º according to my phone. Only. Ha! I love spring. I really do. Maybe some year, we’ll have one because I don’t know what the hell is going on now… a week ago, it was in the 50s.
My children were supposed to be doing homework this afternoon, but instead they were flying paper airplanes into the ceiling fan to see how the fan would whip them in different directions. I swear, they can make their own fun with pretty much anything.
People are starting to decline playing Words With Friends with me. I think it’s because I always win. I am no fun.
My birthday is less than a month away. The older I get, the less fun birthdays are. And my husband sucks at making anything like a birthday a special day. (See also Mother’s Day.) It’s not about gifts. I hate gifts. The needless spending of money stresses me out so gifts make the day even worse. I guess it would just be nice to feel special for a day… without much reference to my age. Even if I will only be 29.
I have a fiction situation. Friday is a slow-ass day around here. I think the ‘fiction friday‘ posts reach fewer readers because of that. I know that’s what some of you are here for… what you look forward to… so you’ll read it regardless of when it’s posted. But I’d like to reach more people. Maybe the day won’t even matter… but I need to try. I was thinking Tuesday or Wednesday. But I’ll need a new name… because ‘Fiction Tuesday’ sucks… as does ‘Fiction Wednesday’. The only thing I’ve come up with is ‘Typewriter Tuesday’ but I think I hate it. It does lend itself to cute graphics but eh. It’s so corny. I think I’d rather use ‘Fiction [random day of week here]’ than that. Thoughts?
Speaking of ‘fiction friday‘… I should get that ready for tomorrow, shouldn’t I? Oh crap… it’s 12:15… it is tomorrow…

Wow the weather is losing its shit, because where I am it snowed. It’s supposed to snow again tomorrow too. And I think fantasy (day of the week) is pretty good, maybe you should play around with it a bit. I hope you stay cool lol

We’re in that heat wave too. It’s ridiculously hot but I think it breaks after today and goes back to ‘normal’ whatever that is these days… The fiction thing – how about this: title your series or your story and just post it using the fiction tag and a header title like: A Work of Romantic Fiction by Sandra. I don’t think it needs to be “Fiction ______” to work for you!

I don’t know… I really want it to be super recognizable like the way it is now… I might just do something not-catchy like Tuesday fiction… which is lame but it serves the purpose. Or “Fiction Friday… Now on Tuesdays”… Haha

Yes, the weather is insane by us, too. Was 80s all week, Friday in the 50s. Typewriter Tuesday, hahaha! My day was good, but you still make me laugh 🙂 sorry I’m not more helpful…

It’s okay. I have a feeling I’m not going to be happy with any name I come up with… especially today… I woke up feeling really sad and I thought I was doing better than this. Feels like I have no control over my own emotions and I hate it so much.

Aww, I’m sorry! Walking/jogging on the treadmill has really made a difference for me, especially in my mood. And the exercise feels like I have some control over my health!

I know what you mean about the wacky weather. Same here. Was in the 80’s on Wednesday and today is in the 50’s. WTH?
This is totally off the top of my head (and honestly probably cringeworthy,lol) but if you wanted to have a particular day that isn’t Friday for the fiction how about Tuesday Tales or Wednesday Works. Just a thought. *slinks away grimacing” lol

I’ve never been totally clear on that — if I want #fiction to show up when my posts go to twitter, do I need to put it in the post title?

That’s what I do. I put it in my WP title and my posts are autonatically posted to Twitter so anyone typing up #fiction can find it too.

My posts do auto-post to twitter… I just never include #fiction in my titles… maybe I will start doing that. Sometimes, I feel like my titles are ridiculously long!
