Well, fuck.
We lost power for 4.5 hours today. I know it’s not that bad… it could have been much longer. One year when storms were especially bad (and frequent), my mom was without power for 8 days.
But 4.5 hours without power… everyone home… husband had no work… kids had no school… and I had no break. It felt like a lot longer than 4.5 hours.
I don’t know why I’m sharing this…. I think I’m officially sick of winter.
Now to [try to] catch up… 57 emails… *sob*

We had flickering lights this afternoon but didn’t lose power, thankfully. It was hard enough being cooped up!

It’s weird… because for some reason I don’t fully understand, we hardly ever lose power. Guess we just got lucky today… Yay. 😳

It’s so stupid that I had my phone fully charged but I still didn’t feel like I should use up the battery in case we were out for way longer. So basically, it was there for emergencies only… not for WP… or candy crush… 😄

Same weather here. Even posted a few videos of our blizzard yesterday (on going) on IG. Like you, I can’t stand winter, especially since the storm of 1998 where we lost power for 10 days! Beautiful photo!

That blows. We had an ice storm a few years back that had is without power for two weeks. Living rurally, we were not a priority in getting it back on. Damn, it was awful. 😕

That is a nightmare! I’m not far from a major city so it doesn’t usually take very long for power to be restored… but I still bitch about it. 😃

Oh, you have no idea! I was hard to deal with those two weeks. I’m not much of a complainer, usually. But I sure made up for a years worth then. 😃

The worst of this storm missed us. But what we did get was more in the ice/sleet form and we were worried about power too. Fortunately it stayed on. Sorry you had such a miserable time of it. Just when we were starting to think spring… And it’s fucking cold again! come on!
