This week’s theme for Haylee’s Moodle Army was ‘blow your own trumpet‘. The way I usually hear this expression is ‘Toot your own horn‘… maybe it’s an ocean-crossing thing…

This theme was a challenge. I had no clue what to draw. I mentioned this to my family… because they’re always soooo helpful.

The husband said… ‘A Dr. Seuss-like creature with a trumpet for a nose.‘

The girl said… ‘What the heck does that mean??‘

The boy said… ‘Draw a butt… and then…‘ [I think you see where this is going. Toot toot.]

Like I said… so helpful.

I almost gave up… but last night I started drawing a few things I might be good at. That’s blowing my own horn. Or trumpet. Right? It was a big mess. So I decided to put them all together and make a bigger mess…

I’m not sure everyone will know what each thing represents. I don’t know if I do either.

    I think this is a perfect drawing!
    I can make assumptions on what everything means and if I’m correct, you are, obviously, well rounded! But it doesn;t really matter what others see, because it’s all about you with this one and that’s sort of the point with tooting your own horn, right? 🙂 ❤

    Hehe, I like that you involved your family, even if their suggestions didn’t help! I’m also enjoying that your ‘sandwich of achievement’ (yes, this is the name I’m giving it!) is made with cake and cupcake ‘bread’. If that makes sense… Probably doesn’t!!

    Love this! I guessed that the angles meant there were different angles to you. Math nerd, huh? I was an accounting major in my previous life. WAS being the key word there. You think you’re screwed up sometimes? How screwed up is it for someone who hates math to get a degree in accounting?!?! 😃
