It’s the most wonderful time of the year (nope) so I thought I’d post something fitting this joyous (nope) season. [I used to love Christmas… I really did. But it’s lost its magic.]
I should pause here to say: It is not my intention to offend anyone. I speak for me… for no one else. Well, maybe for Martin Gore. Or… rather he speaks for me.
I’m just going to say it – I’ve always thought this song pretty much summed things up for me. No, I am not going to hurt myself (not intentionally, anyway, but sometimes I’m a klutz… I did smash my hand last week). It’s not the details that reach me. It’s the main theme. If any such higher being exists, am I just here for comic relief?
Yes, I am a heathen. Or something. I don’t know… I’ve never tried to label it. But I don’t see how I could possibly be any other way. This is me.

Mine too. But I’m doing my best to keep their musical tastes solid. They all were able to identify any Zeppelin song in three notes by the time any of them were 3. 😃

I know you’re not talking to me but they are ALL over pop radio… along with the unbearable stuff my 9 yr-old daughter listens to. I agree that they’re good… not too “poppy”… But yeah… when my daughter listens to the poppiest pop station around, I hear their song at least 3 times in a couple of hours…!

That’s kinda freaky. I cannot picture what that would look like. I’m not sure I want to. 😀 LOL Ahh… a life without children. John and I used to go to shows all the time before we had babies. And for a while after, too… but then it just became way too much trouble and WAY WAY too much money. Couldn’t justify it…

An excellent song! These guys were great. Actually, they still are, saw them somewhere recently – one of those festivals from the summer on AXS TV or something. 🙂

I saw them somewhat recently, too. And a long time ago. Twice. All three times total, I think… unless they were at that one festival… it’s a bit of a blur.
Interesting that no one has commented on the theme of the song/post. (Not directing that observation at you… just saying…) Wonder if that means I kinda have offended everyone?! Totally possible. But… just my beliefs. Or lack thereof…

See… I’m not even sure I believe that. Of course, if there is some magnificent place, I cannot imagine I’d ever get there. My idea of “heaven” is going to sleep and into one of my dreams where I’m in one of my works of fiction… and staying there for all eternity. But that’s more fantasy than belief. Or are those things synonyms? Hmm…
