the perk. #30: offspring.

(Post edited when I realized this is a ‘perk’ and I should have posted it as such since I haven’t had one for over a month. Clearly my life sucks… except for these two little monsters.)

the perk.

Perhaps you’ve heard that I have children. I know… it’s a surprise because I hardly ever mention them… (ha.)

Their first report cards of the year came home recently. The boy started middle school this year… grade 6. The girl is in grade 3. And they are awesome.

First the girl… (please excuse my crappy scan and copy/paste job… why can’t the elementary school send a nice electronic copy like the middle school?!?)

And the boy…

I think this means I have to get them rewards…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  8. Smart like their mother 😀 And my inner choir nerd wants to give your son a high-five!

    • Haha. The concert’s coming up… and I’m sure he’ll be kind of hiding up there… 🙂

      • Aw, I understand that haha. I used to enter solo contests every year and had no problem singing in front of judges – but I refused to sing solos in front of a big audience, or even just in front of my family. Drove my parents nuts! Hopefully your son’s not as shy about it…

        • Oh, he’s very shy about it! He won’t sing solo in front of anyone. He’ll sing with the group but not front and center. I’m surprised he even wanted to join chorus… but I’m glad because the instructor is great and he’s really been enjoying it. I was in band when I was in school and I loved doing the concerts… so I’m excited to go to his.
