postcard from paris.

A tiny piece of fiction inspired by one of my stories…

K–
Paris is beautiful but I question my sanity. I walked past those flowers you love and I bought them for you. I know, you’re not even here. But now they’re in my room and they smell amazing and they remind me of you.
I think I dreamt of you last night. I hated that I couldn’t remember all of it. And I hated that I woke up alone. I almost called but I had this perfect vision of you wrapped in our sheets asleep having your own dream. And I just couldn’t wake you. Next time, I may just be selfish and call anyway.
I miss you. And I love you.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

Aww! I want a postcard from Paris just like that! But it should say at the end- I have enclosed a ticket for you. 😄 Although… it’s a postcard… so never mind. 😀 Which story is this from?
