A tiny piece of fiction inspired by one of my stories…
K–
Paris is beautiful but I question my sanity. I walked past those flowers you love and I bought them for you. I know, you’re not even here. But now they’re in my room and they smell amazing and they remind me of you.
I think I dreamt of you last night. I hated that I couldn’t remember all of it. And I hated that I woke up alone. I almost called but I had this perfect vision of you wrapped in our sheets asleep having your own dream. And I just couldn’t wake you. Next time, I may just be selfish and call anyway.
I miss you. And I love you.

Aw, no one sends real post cards anymore do they? See what a relic I am? 😦 This is sweet and romantic. I feel a series coming on….

My sister who travels all over Europe for work sends us postcards all the time… I love it… Most recently, Berlin… but I’ve gotten then from all over..
These characters have already appeared on this blog…… not to say I couldn’t continue, of course…

Aww! I want a postcard from Paris just like that! But it should say at the end- I have enclosed a ticket for you. 😄 Although… it’s a postcard… so never mind. 😀 Which story is this from?

It’s not from the story, but it’s something that would come later with the characters from “roses are blue”… And yes – a ticket would be perfect. He’s going to need an envelope. 🙂

Cool, I should have a look around your site. My kids get postcards from everywhere their grandparents travel. It’s a nice keepsake but they don’t care one bit, lol.

Aww… My sister often sends them to my kids, too. They enjoy them. For about 5 minutes. Then I keep them. 😃

Ha, yeah. They like getting mail and then it’s like, forgotten. 😄

They get way more excited when it’s a card from my mom because usually there’s a little money in it… lol
