My favorite music lately tends to be on the mellow side… but not always. Today, I needed something else… and I kind of love the story behind this song…
White told UK newspaper The Sun that he played the song to his daughter the day after she’d asked her dad for ‘16 saltine crackers.’ “I said, ‘I wrote a song for you,’” he recalled, “and I played it back for her. She blushed and turned away. The next time I played the song for her, she said, ‘Yeah I never said that!’” [source: genius.com]
This is another song my kids used to sing… at least this part:
I’m hungry and the hunger will linger
I eat sixteen saltine crackers then I lick my fingers
Love Jack White, in all of his incarnations. Pretty cool dude. 😃

Cool songs lately Sandra. I watched this little video of him showing how he came up with 7 nation army, i was surprised at just how down to earth he is. Its always nice to see that in someone so successful. Anyway hope all is well.

Yes – he was on The Tonight Show recently and I thought the same thing about him!

Loves me a bit of Jack… Have seen him live a few times now, with Dead Weather and the Raconteurs. Sadly never saw the White Stripes though (had tickets to see them on the tour where Meg had her nervous breakdown)
