I’ve been a Coldplay fan since the first time I heard Bigger Stronger back in 1998. Yeah, I’m not lying when I say ‘I liked them before they were popular.‘
I’m sure this is far from the last time a Coldplay song will be in this space. Today, it’s this one…
Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.
Like you I’ve been a fan since the beginning. Yellow is very special to me. It was all over the airwaves when my oldest was born and became her song in a way. I can never listen to it without tearing up. Good song this one. It’s a favourite album with my family. We picked it up on the way out of town for a vacation and so it is now associated with those good times as well as the great tunes.
A lot of Coldplay songs remind me of certain times, too… Yellow is one of them… (but I did not have a kid then). Oh… My daughter used to sing Viva la Vida when she was about 18 months old even when it wasn’t playing. It took us a little while to figure out what she was singing… but it was so cute!

I was working 9-5 when this album came out. So i have not gotten around to hearing much of it. A pleasure to my ears. Thank you for sharing this.
