She waited
He never arrived
Yet she still
Dreamt of him
Wishing he would bring the cure
For her lonely heart
He arrived
She never appeared
Yet he still
Dreamt of her
Wishing she would bring the cure
For his lonely heart
They held on
They never let go
Finally
Together
Broken, lonely hearts repaired
It was worth the wait

……When I wrote this poem, I had this song in my head — one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs of all time……
That is a great song. Wonder whatever happened to this group. One and done… Lovely poem, Sandra!

Very cool. And the video is definitely ‘what cake likes’

Their videos are very good. Take a look at Voodoo in the Blood, has Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl having a very strange experience in a subway tunnel.

Wow! Holy shit, is that creepy cool! I love it!

Why is the singer so panicked about blood sticking to the teeth, I know he is worried about what his mother thinks, but is there blood on his teeth in the first place?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Well not only that, but the minute you close your mouth, the blood will get swept away. Or his mouth is the thing bleeding, or perhaps he has no lips to close over his teeth…

So many questions that this song poses. It certainly isn’t a song to sing along too, for one it would be very difficult and two in company you would get some strange looks. I love the heavy dread though (i don’t relish dread in real life but aesthetically it can never be too heavy

Hmmm, half the fun of a good sing along is the shock value… But yes, I would gladly relinquish my real life dread.

I’m up too early, too. I wasn’t even asleep until 3:30… I’ve got to pick my son up at 11 and I feel like I’m going to hurl. And damn, I’m a classy lady. 😋

I told you about the feature length film dream the night before? Well it happened again, different dream. Weird. I feel like I didn’t sleep at all.

You should probably write them down!

Oh I don’t know – it was bizarre. Lots of foot chases. Assassins with blow dart guns. None of them had any hair. Not even any eyebrows. I don’t know what that means.

Hahaha. Did you watch Fringe?

YES EXACTLY!!!!!!! 😱

See? It could totally be a story! And the hairless ones would make it that much more intriguing… 🙂

Agree! I had to hunt this song down. I didn’t know the words, didn’t know who it was by…then one day I heard Into Dust on one of those CSI-type shows. I could tell it was by the same person as “the song I love and can’t find”. I looked up episodes online just to find the song and singer and then went into itunes and listened to a snippet of all their songs till I found the right one 🙂

I love a happy ending. (Auto correct almost made happy into gspot…..doesn’t change the context all that much, lol.)

It was released the year I graduated college and moved in with M…I love how music is alive that way.

I’m not sure where I was when it was released. But I might not confess that anyway so I can preserve the mystery that is my age. lol 😀
