Living the best day
One of the worst
On top of the world
I am in hell
Every game won
All is lost
Motives powerful
Drowning in weakness
Soaring, flying high above
Falling to the ground
Under bright sunshine
Hiding in darkness
Being what you wanted
You don’t want me
Walking the living earth
Buried beneath
Love all around me
Abandoned and alone
can I help you find something?

Thank you, love. Oh, I’ve been in and out of hell lately. More in… trying to get out! I think maybe this is my brain looking for “good” but “bad” keeps trying to kill it.

I completely get that feeling. One of my favorite quotes by Hemingway is, “The world breaks everyone then some become strong at the broken places”
Keep swimming, lovely.

That is a perfect expression of feeling like hell and wanting out but not being able to grasp the way. Helplessness, frustration, despair… Managing a positive and then having it crash down again.

Thank you. Oh but it makes me feel weak that the crash always comes…

No, you shouldn’t feel weak. False highs aren’t sustainable. The ever elusive solution is to find not a high but actual contentment/happiness. I’ll let you know if I figure that out…

Thanks. Then we can market it, sell it, and make millions….

Good. I wanna move to Hawaii. And convince young surfers they prefer older women.

This is fantastic. It’s exhausting feeling like that, the yo yo effect and/or putting on a brave face. Ugh!

Thanks so much. I’ve been using the same thing to try to forget the bad of late… No, not drugs and/or alcohol…. Near constant games of Trouble with my kids.

Trouble, huh? That’s a decent distraction. I used to go the other route. 😕

I’m not much of a drinker but I wouldn’t say no to the good plant… if I had a stash. Wonder if I can get a prescription…

Getting easier to do so by the day! I could help ya’ out if you were closer. It’d make the board games much more fun. 😃

Ha! What, you don’t want to mail it to me? 😋 Man, life was so much easier in college…

No shit! It was routinely mailed in those days, wrapped in coffee grounds of course. Nah, don’t think I’d risk mailing any now. Got too much to lose now. Didn’t even think twice about then though. 😃

I’m sorry…! I had to go out… with my 8 yr old daughter who insisted I buy her a Bath & Body Works body spray because “Mom, I’m going into 3rd grade. I neeeeeed it!” Little miss sassy. 🙂

I know… especially with her! She is soooo dramatic. Every imperfect situation is a huge disaster! (I cannot imagine where she gets that…!)

Some days (weeks? Months?) are perpetual contradictions. This wonderfully expresses those feelings; the struggle to find balance.

I sometimes think that the up and down is worse than if it were all down. At least you wouldn’t be wondering how things were gonna go today. Never knowing how to feel or what’s coming next, it’s like a constant game of wtf is wrong with me? Very relatable. As you can tell, I’ve had a bad day, lol.

I’m sure this makes others question my sanity (and I question it all the time…), but I usually do wake up wondering what kind of day it will be. It seems I never know what I’m going to get. Today, I was having a decent day… and then someone (who I may or may not be married to… lol) totally pissed me off. Grr. I hope you have a better night… and better day tomorrow!

I’m sorry that he pissed you off. They’re good at that, lol. I hope tomorrow is good all the way through! 🙂

I hope so for you, too. Man, it is just so frustrating when he can’t admit that I’m right. He should get that by now. I’m always right! 🙂

Yes. I’m not sure why he doesn’t understand that. I mean, even I know that he’s wrong and you’re right. 🙂
