Alright… the most ridiculous thing about this is that by the time dinner was over, my pathetic short term memory allowed me to forget all about “lunch” until after I let them have a little ice cream for dessert. LOL

hahaha! I’m sure your poll numbers with your kids went way up. Besides, that’s dairy, throw a banana in for fruit, granola in for carbs and fiber and plop some peanut butter on for protein and you have a well rounded “meal”.

Must microwave to melt the peanut butter first.
As I was telling Meg, I did many things between this meal and dinner so only after I let them have ice cream for dessert did I realize what I’d done… 😀

In my humble opinion you are the best mom 🙂
because it’s holidays and hot and time to have fun and do different , and you do it but still worry if you should 😉
Ice cream for lunch , breakfast for dinner , nights awake stretched out on the grass looking up at the stars , enjoy your summer and be the third kid 😉

Well, being loving and just spoiling is different, I was pretty strong on discipline but an ice cream lunch was not out of the question . 🙂

Fortunately mine didn’t need very much discipline, but I was not hesitant to place him in time out or even swat his tush if necessary…uh oh, here comes DCF….

Mine are usually quite good. Though my son is mellow and my daughter is more restless… so the most frequent issue is the two of them arguing… which is quite normal at this stage. (Can’t wait for the teenage years… :/)
