tiny bits.

write. For a couple of weeks a few months ago, I was slightly active on twitter. I haven’t spent much time there lately, but when I did, I wrote a bunch of tiny poems suitable for tweeting… mostly haiku since, of course, they easily fit the 140-character limit.

Of course, I saved my tiny poetry… because I save everything. (And then I can never find anything…)

These weren’t written together… but they were written in the order they appear here (with others written between). I like the way they (kind of) work together.

I want some attention:

Where are all the boys?
My day has become boring…
With the same old toys.

swash.

I want delicious attention:

Your whispers tempt me
And your smile drives me crazy.
Your kiss may kill me.

swash.

I’m going to give you attention:

You know I want you
My sweet delicious craving.
Let me have a taste…

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

Hey! Love these! You should do #1lineWed with me. There’s a prompt and you write one line based on the prompt. I’ll remind you next week!

All lovely. I have found that linking my WordPress to Twitter to be extremely useful in sharing my writing and connecting with other writers. I do a few little poems like this too, more often, I tag my work on the computer or on my iPad #amwriting and a couple more such as #flashfiction or #poetry. The hashtags really help grow your following. I get a lot of reads from Twitter. Just saying 🙂
